Although Safari obviously isn’t ready for prime-time yet, Apple released an announcement today saying that they are pleased to say that 1 million copies of Safari have been downloaded in the past two days.
Does this mean that people really want to use this new browser, regardless of how bugged or insecure it is, or is it simply because Safari has become a buzz-word thanks to the iPhone and the WWDC keynote?
From my point of view, I think that it was a smart move of Apple to release the browser for Windows, if they want to see a lot of applications developed for their cellphone. Now the development of third party applications won’t be limited to Mac OS users.
Personally, I tested it to see if it lived up to it’s claims and to be able to check how websites render with it. If you have downloaded the latest version Safari why have you done so?
